It’s Sunday, it’s Father’s Day, and it is the day before Sharkfest 2017! One of the best presents has been that TRANSUM has been included as a plugin with Wireshark 2.4!!! Granted this is a release candidate, but it is there folks!
If you download and install the 2.4 release cadidate, you will have to enable TRANSUM.
To do this, go to Analyze> Enabled Protocols and you should get a pop up that looks like this:
Now you have a couple of options:
- Simply click enable all
- Scroll down the list until you find TRANSUM, then enable it
- Search for TRANSUM and then enable it (that is the one I did)
Finally, click OK.
Keep in mind, you may need to do this in multiple profiles if you want (or not).
Once this is done, you will see, on the appropriate packets, the added TRANSUM data as shown:
Look for more information here on TRANSUM now that it is “standard”. You can also find further information here – the TRANSUM official web site.
